Person-Centred/Integrative counsellor

I am a qualified and experienced Person-Centred/Integrative counsellor with my core approach being Person-Centred Therapy. I am a Registered Member of BACP (Accred), and I follow the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. I have regular clinical supervision and I am committed to regular continuing professional development.

I work with children (from 5 years), young people and adults, working through play-in-therapy and creative approaches with younger child clients. I have extensive experience of counselling in voluntary and community settings with schools and charities, and I have been a primary school counsellor for 12 years.

I bring integrity, respect and compassion to the therapeutic relationship and work collaboratively in co-creating the space to explore thoughts and feelings safely.

I work with a wide range of issues, difficulties and life events affecting people at different stages of life. I have further training (including Somatic Trauma Therapy training) and experience in trauma-focused counselling with children, young people and adults.

I am a Clinical Supervisor for counsellors working with children, young people and adults, and for professionals working in schools. I am a tutor for CPCAB and SEG counselling training courses and I have experience of teaching across Level 2 to Level 6 qualifications on counselling courses.

I am working in private practice and offer sessions:

  • in Canterbury (central location, accessible building)
  • availability on Thursdays
  • in-person sessions (short or long term)
  • session fee: £50
  • I offer a free initial phone consultation (20 minutes) for adult clients
