My Approach
I work relationally, drawing on Gestalt therapy — supporting meaningful change through awareness, genuine dialogue, and gentle exploration. Together we will look at what you are experiencing now, including patterns shaped by earlier life, in a safe, non-shaming space at your own pace. My practice is trauma-informed, drawing on a Dual Awareness approach that keeps one foot in the present whilst gently exploring the past. I believe therapy is a shared journey towards greater self-awareness, self-acceptance, and the freedom to respond more fully to life as it is now.
Your First Session
The first session is a chance for us to get a feel for one another. At the end, we both decide freely whether to continue. My usual fee applies. There is no pressure and no expectation. You are welcome just as you are.
Experience
I have worked in community counselling offering longer-term therapy, and in a hospice setting providing shorter-term support for patients, carers, and the bereaved. I also support families navigating neurodiversity assessments and EHCP processes. I bring a background in education, coaching, safeguarding, sport, and senior leadership — informing a flexible and responsive approach.
Sessions, Qualifications and Standards
I offer weekly 50-minute sessions for individual adults, online or in person, open-ended or for an agreed period. I am a qualified Gestalt Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, currently completing an MSc in Gestalt Psychotherapy. My work is supervised in line with UKCP ethical standards. I hold enhanced DBS clearance and full professional liability insurance.
