My Approach
I work in a relational way, drawing on Gestalt therapy, which supports meaningful change through awareness, dialogue, and gentle experimentation. In our sessions, we’ll explore what you’re experiencing now — including patterns that may have been shaped by your past — in a safe, non-shaming space. I bring curiosity, challenge, reflections, and ideas that you’re welcome to take, adapt, or leave behind — always at your own pace, and in a way that feels right for you. I use a Dual Awareness Trauma-Informed Approach.
I believe we all have the inner capacity to grow and connect. Yet, life experiences can lead us to adopt ways of being that once protected us but may now feel limiting. Therapy is a shared journey to increase self-awareness, self-acceptance, and the ability to respond more freely in the present.
Experience
I have experience working in community counselling, providing longer-term therapy for clients facing a wide range of emotional and relational challenges, and shorter-term therapy in a Hospice, setting supporting patients, carers, and the bereaved.
I also support families and individuals navigating mental health and medical challenges, including neurodiversity assessments and EHCP reviews, helping to demystify complex processes. Alongside this, I bring a background in education, coaching, safeguarding and senior leadership which helps to inform a flexible and responsive approach to therapeutic work.
